We are just days away from a new year. I can’t help but look back on 2015 with much appreciation for all of you! I am blown away by how many people follow and comment on my blog each week!

WordPress put together this annual report for The Whatever Mom, complete with site stats and most popular posts. Feel free to read through.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 8,600 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

I am also excited to share that I was recently interviewed for I Am a Hudson Valley Parent. I have been lucky enough to blog for Hudson Valley Parent for the last two years. I am honored to be a featured parent in 2016.

One of the questions I was asked about my blogging revealed an answer that surprised me. I shared that the toughest thing for me about writing my blog is revealing the darker parts of parenting, the less glamorous and talked about struggles.

This has me thinking, what parenting topics would you all like to see discussed in 2016? Please feel free to comment below with your suggestions or email them to [email protected]

I look forward to continuing to grow my blog with desirable content, building my Whatever Army and connecting with new friends! Thank you all so much for a great year! See you all in 2016!!

The Whatever Mom is a full time mom and part time crazy lady living off the pure rush of cleaning the BIG potty between loads of laundry, sandwich making and writing her blog. It is her dream parents every where will join her Whatever Army and accept that we are all in this together!

  1. Congrats!! I’m so happy for you. I know one topic that I would like discussed ( and forgive me if it’s already been touched upon. I’m new to your blog and haven’t read through all yet :))
Anyway I have a 7 yr old boy , who although at times can be challenging I feel is just part of being a 7 yr old adjusting to 2nd grade responsibilities. However his teacher keeps pointing to ADHD. I know in my heart that he doesn’t fall on the spectrum. But I feel that I’m the only one. A recent visit to the pediatrician left me with normal blood work. Normal hearing (thank god) but a lot of forms to fill out to see if he fits the criteria. And even if he does. I’m against meds. Sooooo I’m wondering if anyone is in a similar boat

    • Thanks Cathy! I can tell you, you are definitely not alone!! I agree this is a great topic for me to reach out to other parents with, who like you, are feeling like they are the only ones. Thank you!!

  2. Congrats on being a featured parent in 2016 for Hudson Valley Parent! So exciting 🙂 I enjoy reading your parenting insight and can’t wait to see what you share in the new year!

  3. What a great recap from WordPress. I loved your Body Beautiful posts. As far as the dark parts of parenting we all have them. My friends and I refer to parenting teens as the dark ages. With my children ranging fro 14 − 26, I am not out of the woods yet.

  4. Just keep doing what you’re doing and you will definitely go far! 2016 is going to be a great year – I can feel it 🙂

  5. congrats on your feature, that’s awesome. One thing I would like to see discussed is how much sports is too much sports for a kid. Being a former competitive swimmer, training at the age of 13 for 2 -4 hours a day, 6 days a week, I reckon that was too much.

  6. I am currently parenting three age groups: one toddler (19 m), one tween (11 yrs) and one teen (she’ll be 14 next week). I’m finding that it’s easy for the middle child to become THE MIDDLE CHILD when they’re sandwiched between a baby and a teen (both of whom are time-consuming in their own ways). Maybe you could touch on ways to make middle children feel just as loved and tended to! I know I’d love to hear some tips 🙂

  7. 2015 was pretty awesome! I have one goal for 2016: Not buy any toys or books. We have too many toys and can get any book we want from the library. Instead we will spend our fun money on experiences.
